In mid July we rode our bikes on the P'tit Train du Nord in Quebec, Canada. This rail-trail winds 200 km through the Laurentians northwest of Montreal.

| The ride started in Saint-Jerome (ex-urb of Montreal) with a shuttle to the start in Mont-Laurier. It was clear that this is a popular trail ride. |

| The sign post at the beginning shows the distance to most of our overnights. Only Val-David is missing. |

| Most of the former railway stations have been re-habbed into cafes, visitor centers, gift stores, and in at least one case, a day-care center. |

| Unlike most of the rail-trails we have ridden, this one spends very little time along rivers. Here is the exception - the Riviere Rouge. |

| Typical trail. The northern 3/4 of the trail is paved. Most of the southern 1/4 is finely-crushed stone typical of rail trails. Riding on pavement boosted our speed by about 2 mph. |
