Yellowstone in Winter - Part 7 - Waterfalls

Friday, 26 January 2018

Today we toured the lower loop of the Yellowstone road system via snow coach.

We made a brief stop at Gibbon Falls.
Looking downstream from Gibbon Falls.
Megan and Melissa left the coach to check on the snow depth (over 4 ft) and decided the snow was perfect for "snow flops".
Next stop was the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River. We did not get to the see Upper Falls.
A closer view of the falls.
The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone looking downstream (north) of the falls. The scenery is different, but the size is comparable to the New River Gorge in West Virginia.
