We finished the day by watching the sun set behind the waters off Everglades City on the west side of the Everglades National Park.

| A great blue heron waited patiently on the side of a small island. |

| On the mainland, a red-shouldered hawk glowed red in the light of the setting sun. |

| And flocks of birds flew across the sky. |

| The entire small island just off the shore. |

| Sunset. |

| Without clouds, the sky glowed orange. |
![]() |
| The moon has become considerably larger since our night on the Outer Banks. |
