Avalanche Lake

Before heading west to the Hiawatha Trail on the Montana-Idaho border, we took one last morning hike in Glacier. This time we went up to Avalanche Lake.

The bottom end of Avalanche Creek is a rock-cut flume.

The log-choked outlet end of Avalanche Lake.
Smoke obscured the view of the water cascades feeding the lake.
